UFO Moviez India Limited along with its subsidiary companies Scrabble Entertainment Limited and Scrabble Digital Limited has undertaken following CSR activities-
We find girls facing barriers to education caused by poverty, cultural norms and practices, poor infrastructure, violence, and fragility. Girls education goes beyond getting girls into school. It is also about ensuring that girls learn and feel safe while in school & can have the opportunity to complete all levels of education acquiring the knowledge and skills to compete within the fast-growing competitive world; learn the socio-emotional and life skills necessary to navigate and adapt to a changing world;
Promoting Education & Empowerment of Women – UFO Moviez under its CSR initiative has supported Shriram Shikshan Sanstha, Paniv, Solapur, Maharashtra for the expansion of existing girls hostel. The primary objective for expansion of the hostel was that such expanded facility would encourage more girls in nearby villages to gain access to quality education in rural India.
Hospitals and local area health centres are primary touchpoints where the vast population of India receives the health and medical support. While there is dearth of such good set ups in our country that can provide quality of healthcare support at reasonable or subsidised cost, however building such centres and hospitals grounds up is a major project and requires significant funds, time, and dedicated team of specialised health care professionals.
At the same time there are many such centres and hospitals that are operated by dedicated and experienced medical professionals, primarily offering their services to needy population at a nominal or zero cost. However, such set ups (which are mostly operated by charitable trusts) require financial support to procure or upgrade various medical equipment and set ups. They also need support to fund part of their operating expenses to better serve the needy population.
The CSR Policy of the Company adopts ‘Promoting healthcare for supporting the poor sections of the society’ as one of the thrust areas for carrying out its CSR activities.
Every child has a right to education and to get the childhood they deserve. Samarth Bharat Vyaaspeeth, with the support of Thane Municipal Corporation, built a school under the Teen Haath Naka Flyover in Thane to take care of the overall holistic development of children living on the signals in Thane. Through UFOforYOU, a CSR initiative of UFOMoviez, we were able to sponsor the education and development of over 200 children.
UFO Moviez supported an initiative named as ‘Don Ghaas’ for providing lunch meals to the patients and their attendants admitted to charitable hospitals. The company laid the foundation of the newly set up food distribution centre at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, Kalwa, Thane.
We are happy to support “DON GHASS” an initiative by WithAarya, a NGO started by Mrs Shital Bhatkar and Mr Vikrant Bhatkar. Through this initiative they provide home cooked meals to hospital patients and their caregivers.
We believe in “food for all” and we understand the importance of good home cooked food for recovery of any patient and hence we are glad that we are able to support the Ratnagiri (Maharashtra) centre of the NGO and support all three times meals to around 100+ patients daily.
Good medical equipment can do wonders in hospitals as they help in diagnosis and treatment of the disease leading to betterment of the patients. Keeping in mind this importance of equipment, we donated anaesthesia machine and monitors to VCCMC DM Petit Municipal Hospital in Vasai, Mumbai. Further supporting the company’s CSR thrust area.
We take great honor in being able to provide the necessary help to HBT Trauma Care Centre Jogeshwari with the donation of the C-Arm Machine. It is an advanced medical imaging device based on X-ray technology.
The unavailability of this machine results in 950+ delayed surgeries every year at the HBT Trauma Care Centre Jogeshwari. The need for this machine increased drastically when a large number of Trauma cases rushed to the hospital.
‘UFO FOR YOU’ an initiative by UFO Moviez believes that properly facilitated health care isn’t a privilege, it is a right for all. And we are grateful to have taken a step towards solving this problem.
Primary Health Centre, Ganjad has been fighting against the diseases and protecting its people for years now. They have been winning wars and giving their 100% to provide the best treatment to their patients.
UFO Moviez took an initiative to contribute their share to this fight for better healthcare by donating the - Portable Doppler Machines, Portable Vertical Autoclave, Multipara Monitor, Baby warmer and more.
UFO FOR YOU believes that even the littlest bits matter when it comes to saving life.
UFO FOR YOU (An initiative by UFO Moviez) recently collaborated with Vasundhara Charitable Trust in Tarapur with a vision of providing the best health care facilities by coming together. Vasundhara Charitable Trust believes in serving all with utmost care and with prominent health care facilities.
UFO Moviez contributed to it donating the X-Ray Machine, Table & Generator, Accessories of Kiran Lead Apron, Direct Digitizer, Infrastructure Development Cost and Manpower Cost to make the process easier for the hospital and the patients.
The donation of Ambulance towards the MLDT Hospital, Palghar by UFO Moviez. It is an initiative to help solve the problem of providing efficient medical health services to the patient in remote areas and to help solve the transportation problems for the patients in need.
The Project shall be implemented & monitored directly by the company through a Project Implementation Group comprising of following officials of the company.
The Project Implementation Group shall be responsible for overall execution of this Project within the broad guidelines and principles laid down by the CSR Committee and approved by the Board of Directors from time to time. The Committee shall be responsible for monitoring of the Project implementation, review of deliverables of the Beneficiaries and its periodic reporting to CSR Committee and the Board of Directors.
