Theatrical trailer is the first interaction of a movie on the big screen with the audience. Thus, it is considered a very important tool of publicity and promotions by producers and distributors. To a great extent, the box office opening of a movie is largely dependent on the response to a trailer

DPX - In the case of DPX the images fit perfectly on the theatre screens
.MOV / TIFF / TGA – Please Refer to IMAGE – 1. I n case of .MOV or TIFF or TGA it’s in digital format
on the hard disk instead of it being on the tape.
Also please ensure that the Audio is exactly in sync with the provided Video.
In case of DPX files make sure that audio is given along with the beep marks on the audio as well as video to ensure perfect lip sync.
Also ensure that Video & Audio given is separated reel wise. Each reel has to be approximately 15 to 20 minutes of length. In case of Image sequence like TGA or TIFF each reel should be properly numbered and each file name should be preceded with zero’s example Reel_1_00001.TGA.
All the content provided on HDD should be windows formatted on NTFS, or FAT32 file systems. Mac Formatted HDD are also acceptable.
.MOV in Apple pro res codec will not be accepted
FIREWIRE drives will not be accepted
Desktop Storage Hard drives of more than 2TB will not be accepted.
Only OV version DCPs to be provided. Any changes in OV will be implemented separately in the UFO Moviez Lab.
.MOV movie must come in reels. Merging of reels in one part is not acceptable. Video provided must start and end with actual video frame of the movie, avoiding leaders to the reels. Audio provided must be in sync with the video. Content not received as above will be treated as DPX & accordingly billed.

* If for any reason film maker wants to shoot on 25fps, we can accept the footage as it is and
will convert it to our specifications at our end.
The Black portion is the 16:9 format ie. 1.778 aspect ratio but the actual image needed by us is the white portion which is 2:35 aspect ratio. So while shooting please ensure to leave enough space in the top and bottom to avoid the heads being cut.
The Black portion is the 2.35 Aspect Ratio of the Theatre Screen and the white portion is the 4:3 Aspect Ratio
